My friends on Facebook have varying, diverse views on life and politics and some of it is not always to my liking, but for the sake of harmony, and in the interest of my own curiosity, I accept these varying opinions and attempt to learn from them.

What troubles me sometimes is how so terribly absolute many people feel about their perception of right and wrong regarding their political views and their understanding of this human condition of ours.  Many of the riddles that confront me in my understanding of this life are complex and multilayered and quite different from the simple” black and white”, “right and wrong”, rhetoric of so many politicians, media professionals, and religious zealots.  In some ways I am jealous of those who see and think in absolutes; it must be comforting not to question the very core of our existence and to be placated by…
